Job summary

Sina Coach, a Southern California-based charter bus company, seeks an experienced Motor Coach/Heavy-Duty Bus Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet. You will diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and emissions systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure CHP/DOT compliance.

Strong diagnostic skills and 3+ years of relevant experience are required. Join a growing team with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on buses, motor coaches, or heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with bus platforms and emission systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair motor coaches and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, electrical, and emissions systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Diagnose fault codes using professional diagnostic tools and software.
• Inspect tires and coordinate outside repairs when needed.
• Work with drivers and dispatch to identify problems and prioritize repairs.
• Confirm vehicles are safe and ready before returning them to service.
• Maintain repair records and communicate vehicle status to management.
• Order parts and help maintain parts inventory.
• Respond to occasional local roadside service situations.
• Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
• Ensure vehicles meet CHP, DMV, DOT, and CARB requirements.
