Job summary

Elite Recycling & Disposal in Pagosa Springs, CO is seeking a reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The role focuses on light diesel repair, preventive maintenance, greasing, tire changes, and routine service on trash trucks and fleet vehicles.

The candidate should be able to work independently and with a team, and have hands-on maintenance experience. We offer competitive pay based on experience, health/dental/vision benefits, a 401(k) with employer matching, and a flexible work schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience diesel or heavy truck maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and braking systems a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to use software to receive and complete work orders and track parts inventory.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks on company trucks
• Handle diesel repairs and adjustments
• Conduct greasing, lubing, and fluid checks
• Complete tire changes and rotations as needed
• Maintain accurate service records and report issues promptly
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures
