Job summary

Loomis US is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of armored service vehicles. You must be able to work independently, make good decisions, and perform with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on fleet maintenance, preventive service, and diagnostics across vehicle sizes. Candidates should have 3+ years of diesel experience and hold a valid driver’s license, with DOT/compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (5+ preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (C or better) and ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Meet FMCSA/391 qualifications and DOT brake/annual inspection certs.
• Ability to lift, crawl, and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair all fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, belts, hoses, brakes) per schedule.
• Diagnose mechanical, engine and electrical issues on all vehicle sizes.
• Test drive vehicles (automatic and manual) for testing and transfer.
• Order parts and manage inventory as needed.
