Job summary

Loomis US is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair our fleet of vehicles in the Pittsburgh area. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and document work using our software.

Responsibilities include ordering parts, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with DOT brake and annual inspection requirements. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Operational knowledge of diesel equipment and tools used for troubleshooting and repair of fleet vehicles.
• Knowledge of International diesel medium-duty trucks and Ford gas/diesel engines is preferred.
• Must be able to perform preventive maintenance, identify worn parts, diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels and gauges.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license (C or better) and meet DOT qualifications for brake and annual inspections.
• Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull and work in varied environments.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows OS and web-based maintenance tracking software.
• Ability to communicate verbally for ordering parts and supplies.
• Ability to hoist vehicles with a lift device and perform physical tasks.
• Work is performed in semi-enclosed and outdoor environments with chemical exposure and noise.
• 40-hour minimum work week; DOT standards for inspections; 1 year experience or approved training.
• Basic hand tools required; ASE or manufacture certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all company vehicle types per policy.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Document repair and inspection data using maintenance software.
• Inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per standards.
