Job summary

Senske in Washington state seeks a dependable Fleet Mechanic to keep our lawn care and pest control fleet running safely and efficiently. From service trucks to small engines, you’ll play a critical role in keeping technicians on the road and customers happy.

The essential functions include building, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery; diagnosing issues; performing preventive maintenance; and supporting hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mechanical experience.
• Experience with engine repair, small-engine repair, pumps, and PTO systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Detail oriented with ability to prioritize multiple repairs and act with urgency.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
• Able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles.
• Safety-minded and dependable.
• ASE certification or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Welding or fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble machines or components according to requirements.
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, and perform diagnostics.
• Conduct repairs to maximize reliability.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
• Clean and apply lubricants to components.
• Replenish fluids and engine/machinery parts.
• Provide guidance on proper maintenance and preventative measures.
• Handle additional duties such as hydraulics, welding, and electrical work.
• Keep logs of work and report issues.
• May require overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain neat appearance and adhere to safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
