Transdev’s Fleet Deployment Specialist assists by providing the necessary equipment, supplies, and logistical support to the Autonomous Vehicle Specialists who in turn are critical to the success of delivering safe autonomous driving systems to our customers, enabling a revolutionary mobility experience. This role plays a large part in the setup and prep work to ensure the fleet is ready to head out and provide service to the public.

Responsibilities
- Maintain Transdev’s high standard of safety, inside and outside of the vehicle;
- Flexibility in schedule, as there is potential to work longer or modified shifts
- Interact with multiple sources via multiple outlets in a timely manner, while completing other tasks
- Setup of a batch of cars prior to the arrival of the drivers for that shift. Including, but not limited to, ensuring the vehicle is fully set up and clean for the day’s mission.
- Follow established diagnostic guides to troubleshoot driver support modules; not limited to, but including Pixel phones, gLinux laptops, and monitoring cameras
- Complete various calibration processes to get new vehicles ready to be included in the fleet
- Maintain clear communication with Tech support when diagnostic guides do not resolve encountered issues
- Ensuring timely shift start and efficient vehicle deployment
- Assist as a spotter with guiding vehicle movements inside and outside of depots and parking spots
- Often serves as the main point of contact when working at remote locations.
- Ensures and oversees the security of client vehicles, data, and key assets, along with location while working at remote site(s)
- Responsible for managing vehicle key security process
- Oversee and ensure the security and importing of disks including accounting of at the beginning and end of shift, and ensuring there is the proper amount of disks needed throughout the day
- Ensure only badged staff access the vehicle area and break room(s) at remote sites
- Will assist as a POC for client Security and Facilities staff for issues and repairs at remote site(s)
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience driving on public roads. Additional experience is preferred;
- High School Diploma or GED required. Four-year college degree (preferred) in a related field like industrial or applied sciences;
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;
- Ability to parallel park with minimal assistance.
- Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;
- Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;
- Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;
- Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systems
- Must be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as overnight shifts and travel for up to one month;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
- Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments.
- Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Chats, and Drive, including Sheets and Docs);
- Travel up to 10% of the time
- Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required); and
- Must be able to type at least 40 adjusted wpm.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional long periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to climb stairs and/ or ladders, use of hands, fingers, ability to talk and/ or hear.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
- Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Most work is accomplished outdoors in a vehicle.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must be 21 years old;
- Does not have more than 1 point on the driving record (California), or one non-major moving violation in the preceding three years;
- Has not had any driver’s license suspension or revocation based on driving or operating any vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any drug in the past 10 years;
- Has not ever been the at-fault driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident that resulted in injury or death of any person.
- Must have and maintain a driving record that meets state AVT (Autonomous Vehicle Tester) and/or other applicable regulations and laws; and
- Meets driver requirements, including driving record and criminal history under applicable regulations and laws in the state(s) in which the autonomous vehicle monitor will be working;
- All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Safety Sensitive Positions will also be subject to a physical screening
- Transdev reserves the right to perform ongoing background checks for all employees except in states where this is prohibited by state law. Transdev will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
- Employees must maintain an acceptable Driving Record suitable to being approved to drive as part of their regular duties. Records are monitored on an ongoing or regular basis pursuant to local state law.
- Ability to qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license in states and positions where it’s required
- If based in the United States, applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions for any employer at any time as required by the USCIS.
