Job summary

TransWest is seeking a Fleet Coordinator in Everett, WA to keep our shuttle, bus, charter, and van fleet safe and on the road. You’ll schedule maintenance, coordinate with outsourced providers, and track service records while supporting technology upkeep on our growing fleet.

The role requires 21+ years, a valid CDL A/B, a DOT medical card, and hands-on maintenance experience with diverse vehicles. You’ll join a team focused on reliability and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 1+ years of maintenance experience with various vehicles; transit buses and motor coaches preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school training preferred.
  • Current/Active DOT Medical Card.
  • Current/Active Class A or B CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular safety and condition inspections on all fleet vehicles; ensure mechanical quality and professional appearance.
  • Respond to and resolve fleet concerns to minimize road calls and maintain safety.
  • Track and document 3rd-party maintenance activities, including vehicle reports, parts usage, repairs, and service records.
  • Process invoices for 3rd-party services.
  • Support fleet technology upkeep: confirm proper installation of Wi‑Fi units, telematics, and onboard tablets.
  • Complete assigned work orders/service entries accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with fleet management and operations to anticipate service needs and optimize fleet readiness.
  • Coordinate with service providers to ensure vehicles are clean, safe, DOT compliant and service-ready.

The Fleet Coordinator plays a critical role inmaintainingthe safety, reliability, and performance of our vehicles. This positionis responsible forscheduling, tracking, and coordinating proactive fleet maintenancewith our outsourced service providers. This work will include taking vehicles to shops, scheduling work withservice providers, and ensuring we are working to meet our goals of keeping our fleet safe, reliable and on the road.Working closely withthe Fleet Team and theOperationsTeam,the Fleet Coordinator coordinatesinspectionsandrepairs in the field, and ensures vehiclesremainservice-ready with minimal disruption to team members and clients.

Compensation:

  • $33.00- $42.00
  • QuarterlyToolAllowance

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratewith our service providers and dealer networks to ensure our vehicles are clean, safe,DOTcompliantandservice ready.
  • Schedule vehicles for maintenance with our outsourced service providers as needed for repairs. Take vehicles to shops and schedule routine drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • Performadditionalduties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 1+ years of maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles; experience with transit buses and motor coaches strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Current/Active DOT Medical Card
  • Current/Active ClassA orB CDL
  • Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test
  • Able to communicate proficiently in English
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours
  • Must be willing to work in outside environments, which may include inclement weather
