Job summary

Zipcar in Seattle is seeking a Fleet Operations Associate to keep vehicles clean, maintained, and ready for members. This hands-on role includes transporting vehicles, refueling, cleaning, changing tires, and coordinating repairs or towing when needed.

Associates travel between locations by foot, bike, public transit, or company vehicle. You will ensure vehicles are available when members need them and work across locations in the city to support the member experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong time management to juggle priorities.
• Excellent communication with operations team for vehicle status updates.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Job description

The Fleet Operations Associate works throughout the city to keep vehicles clean, maintained, and ready for members. This hands-on role includes transporting vehicles, refueling, cleaning, changing tires, and coordinating repairs or towing when needed. Associates travel between locations by foot, bike, public transit, or company vehicle.

• Playing a key role in the member experience by ensuring vehicles are ready when members need them.

• Representing the company throughout the community while working across different locations in the city.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Driver’s License

• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

• Strong time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and tasks

• Excellent communication with operations team to ensure the vehicle status updates are provided

• Flexibility to work 40-hour weeks which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Willingness to work outdoors (weather and other conditions vary)

• Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record (per company standards)

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit, and kneel; and frequently enter, exit, and drive vehicles

• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
