Job summary

Dearborn Construction is seeking a full-time year-round Fleet and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee repairs and services on a large truck and heavy equipment fleet. This role requires coordinating a team of mechanics, ensuring timely maintenance, and keeping accurate records.

You will monitor inventory, manage maintenance costs, and uphold OSHA safety standards while working in a collaborative shop environment with vendor relationships. CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Direct a team of mechanics and oversee repairs.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and power trains.
• Experience in hydraulics systems, ability to make and repair hoses.
• Provide technical assistance in diagnosing problems.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Monitor parts inventory, order component replacement, and help manage maintenance expenses.
• Manage routine maintenance of the fleet along with tracking and recording completed work.
• Ensure all work is being done safely, and all OSHA standards are followed.
• Must be self-motivated and organized with strong work ethics.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate with vendors.
• CDL preferred.

This individual would be overseeing and scheduling services and repairs on a large fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Ability to direct team of mechanics and oversee completion of repairs.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and power trains.
• Experience in hydraulics systems, ability to make and repair hoses.
• Provide technical assistance in diagnosing problems.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Monitor parts inventory, order component replacement, and help manage maintenance expenses.
• Manage routine maintenance of the fleet along with tracking and recording completed work.
• Ensure all work is being done safely, and all OSHA standards are followed.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. CDL preferred.
• Maintain a clean office and a clean functioning shop.
