Job summary

Denali Ingredients in New Berlin, Wisconsin, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to test in-process and finished products and ensure adherence to quality standards. Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Quality Control, you will help gather samples, analyze data, and support labeling accuracy.

Work involves compliance with SQF, GMPs, and safety regulations, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and provide timely, accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college and 1–2 years of experience preferred
• Or 4-year high school diploma and 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English; strong communication skills
• Ability to write reports and procedures; work with managers, vendors, customers

Responsibilities

• Conduct standardized tests on intermediate and finished food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Check the metal detector to ensure proper operation; report malfunctions
• Gather retention, microbiological and control samples from raw materials and finished products
• Prepare microbiological sample composites and paperwork for pickup by laboratory
• Examine and approve product labels prior to production run
• Place product on hold and assist with investigations as needed
• Complete daily paperwork as assigned
• Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations (SQF code, GMPs) and report deficiencies
• Analyze quality data and assist in resolving manufacturing process issues
• Participate on cross functional teams to improve processes
• Obtain environmental samples
• Other duties as required
