Job description

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Practice safety rules diligently.
2. Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
3. Report to and assist the immediate supervisor.
4. Perform quality work as per project specifications.
5. Be accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
6. Work effectively as part of a team.
7. Safety: Prioritize safety as a core value. Know and comply with all safety policies and regulations. Stop and correct unsafe practices and refuse unsafe work conditions.
8. Mobilization and Demobilization: Ability to load, unload, secure, set up, and tear down equipment.
9. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper use and maintenance of all equipment, vehicles, and tools.
10. Other duties as assigned, including serving as backup to other positions at management's direction.
11. Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily.
12. Manipulate hand tools daily.
13. Stand for extended periods and perform physical activities like twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
14. Identify colors and use manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
15. Communicate effectively orally and understand spoken instructions.
16. Operate motorized equipment safely.
17. Work in environments with drafts, noise, temperature variations, or similar discomforts.
18. Proofread and check documents for accuracy; use a keyboard for data entry.
19. Comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy.
20. Pass physical examinations as required.
21. Climb and balance on ladders, scaffolding, etc.
22. Work at heights and in confined spaces.
23. Work extended hours on uneven surfaces.
24. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. 1-2 years of experience excavating near underground utilities.
2. Valid driver’s license required.
3. Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement required.
