Job summary

Premier Warehousing Services, Inc. in Milan, OH is seeking a Tarper to tarp and secure product on flatbed trailers for shipment and to untarp for unloading. The role requires following procedures, using tarping equipment, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Employees work inside and outside with shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with weekend work and overtime as needed. Background check and drug screen required; age 18+; EOE.

Qualifications

• 1- Follows oral and written duties and procedures for each.
• 2- Place and secure poly and tarps on flatbed trailers as required on top of the loads with the assistance of a tarping machine.
• 3- Observes all safety policies and wears the required Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• 4- Keeps work areas and truck lots clean and orderly.
• 5- Employees work inside and outside. In case of snow employees remove the snow by shoveling the trailers.
• 6- Works well with others.

Responsibilities

• Tarps and secures product loaded on flatbed trailers for shipment and unsecures and untarps product on flatbed trailers for unloading.
• Follow established duties and procedures for each task.
• Use tarps and tarping equipment and secure loads with bungees and straps.
• Maintain safety practices and PPE.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team to complete shifts on time.
