Job summary

Tower Extrusions, LLC is seeking a dependable Shuttle Driver to move trailers and product between its two Wylie plants. The role requires operating flatbed and Conestoga trailers, coordinating with shipping supervisors, and maintaining safety on public roads.

This full-time position offers weekly pay, health benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL, have a clean driving record, and be willing to work overtime on local routes between facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Experience operating flatbed and Conestoga trailers preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to work local intra-plant routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed and Conestoga trailers to transfer product and empty trailers between Tower Extrusions' two Wylie, TX plants
• Coordinate pickup and drop-off timing with the shipping supervisor at each plant
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required paperwork
• Secure loads properly for transport between facilities, including straps, corner protectors, and tarps as needed
• Hook and unhook trailers as needed for each transfer
• Communicate delays, equipment issues, or scheduling conflicts to the shipping supervisor promptly
• Follow all DOT and company safety regulations while operating on public roads between plants
• Report any equipment damage or maintenance issues immediately
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the shipping supervisor or manager

About the Role

Tower Extrusions, LLC. is a privately owned aluminum extrusion company that has been in business for over 40 years. We are hiring a Shuttle Driver to move trailers and product between our two Wylie, TX plants. This role works closely with the shipping supervisor at each location to coordinate trailer movement and keep material flowing between facilities on flatbed and Conestoga trailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed and Conestoga trailers to transfer product and empty trailers between Tower Extrusions' two Wylie, TX plants
• Coordinate pickup and drop-off timing with the shipping supervisor at each plant
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required paperwork
• Secure loads properly for transport between facilities, including straps, corner protectors, and tarps as needed
• Hook and unhook trailers as needed for each transfer
• Communicate delays, equipment issues, or scheduling conflicts to the shipping supervisor promptly
