Job summary

HMD Trucking Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Flatbed Operations Manager to join our team in Brownsburg, IN (or Gary, IN; Chicago Ridge, IL).

This full-time role focuses on leading day-to-day operations, coaching the operations team, and ensuring safety and compliance across the fleet. Your responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, conducting load securement training, onboarding new drivers, and enforcing company policies and government regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Multiple years of experience in flatbed operations, load securement and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations and provide coaching and training for operations team members.
• Hire, develop and retain qualified personnel to ensure effective operations.
• Conduct load securement training and manage load securement equipment.
• Enforce proper load securement compliance.
• Participate in new driver orientation and onboarding.
• Enforce compliance with all company policies, safety rules, and regulations.
• Assist in truck and trailer fleet management as needed.
