Job summary

Binford Supply is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Driver to deliver construction materials and equipment, while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. This role requires experience operating manual transmission and flatbed trucks, securing loads, completing required documentation, and performing vehicle inspections.

When not making deliveries, the driver may assist with warehouse and yard operations. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Three years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• One year of experience operating a flatbed truck.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Experience with strapping/securement.
• Registered with FMCSA clearinghouse.
• Knowledge of Electronic Logging requirements, GPS systems, and ability to read maps.
• Clean driving record and diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver construction materials and equipment while adhering to DOT regulations.
• Maintain records for compliance, including logs and mileage.
• Travel to local areas delivering to businesses and residences.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain service/repair logs.
• Follow procedures for injuries, defects, accidents, or damage reporting.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payments when required.
• Complete paperwork related to truck operation and freight movements.
• Operate truck electronics and GPS for communication with bases and drivers.
• Secure loads properly and maintain safe load securement throughout trips.
• Assist with warehouse and yard duties when not on runs.
• Work overtime as required.
