Job summary

County Materials in Merrill, WI is seeking a reliable Flat Bed CDL Driver to transport freight on a flatbed tractor-trailer. The role requires safety-focused driving, load securing and tarp duties, and strict adherence to DOT regulations.

You will represent the company at customer sites, ensure on-time deliveries, maintain equipment, and communicate with dispatch. A valid CDL and at least two years of driving experience are required, along with high school education or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL prior to hire.
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and efficient transportation of goods using flatbed tractor-trailer equipment.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with customers and site personnel.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections of tractor, trailer, and securement equipment.
• Secure and tarp loads properly in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Operate tractor-trailer combinations in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
• Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
• Unload materials using approved methods, including pipe unloaders when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and operating condition of assigned tractor and trailer.
• Receive dispatch instructions, communicate job status, and report completion of deliveries.
• Maintain consistent communication with dispatch throughout assigned routes.
• Represent the company professionally by maintaining positive customer relationships.
