Pennsylvania Steel Company Inc in Ashland, VA is seeking a Class A or Class B CDL licensed truck driver for our Ashland location. The Class A/B truck driver safely operates a flatbed to transport steel to customers, loading and unloading as required.

Join a veteran, privately owned business with 50 years in the industry. Monday to Friday, 1st shift, home every day, with pay $25.00 to $27.00 per hour, plus benefits including 401(k) and health/dental/vision insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–6 months driving experience strongly preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• SAFETY FIRST! Safely operating the truck.
• Loading and unloading material required.
• Securing loads and assuring loads are within weight limits.
• Verifying count and condition of materials when loading and unloading.
• Reporting vehicle maintenance needs.
• Complying with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Maintaining a clean driving record.
• Representing the company in a professional, courteous, and presentable manner at all times.
