Job summary

Nucar Chevrolet of Woburn in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Automotive Flat Rate Technician to perform a variety of vehicle repairs in a busy, state-of-the-art shop.

The role offers a pay range of $50,000-$150,000 per year, weekly bonus programs, a yearly retention bonus, full-time hours with Sundays closed and rotating Saturdays, and opportunities for career advancement within the Nucar Family of Dealerships.

Qualifications

• ASE Certification required or equivalent credentials.
• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• B level qualifications: diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• A level qualifications: transmission and engine repair.
• Dexterity with steady hand and good eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of services and repairs on vehicles to dealership standards.
• Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, and air conditioning systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services.
• Provide time estimates for repairs and complete work under warranty to specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• A Level Qualifications Includes Transmission And Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

Responsibilities

• As an individual contributor, the Automotive Flat Rate Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of services and repairs on vehicles, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and maintaining the dealership's standards of quality and efficiency
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
