Job summary

NUCAR CHEVROLET OF WOBURN is seeking an experienced Automotive Flat Rate Technician to join a very busy, state-of-the-art shop. Earn $50,000-$150,000 yearly with weekly bonus programs and a retention bonus to reward long-term success in the Nucar family of dealerships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification required.
• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• B level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• A level qualifications include transmission and engine repair.
• Dexterity and steady hand with good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude; eager to learn and adapt.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of vehicle services and repairs while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Complete work specified on repair orders efficiently and to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, and brakes.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services.
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs and execute warranty work per manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

Responsibilities

• As an individual contributor, the Automotive Flat Rate Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of services and repairs on vehicles, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and maintaining the dealership's standards of quality and efficiency
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
