Job summary

Glass Doctor is seeking a Flat Glass Technician to install residential and commercial glass products, including windows and storefronts, while providing excellent customer service. You will measure, estimate, cut, and install glass and hardware, uphold safety standards, and help grow our customer base through upselling and service excellence.

The role emphasizes accurate measurement, efficient material use, and maintaining tools and vehicle.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in glass preferred, but not required.
• Experience in construction or handyman work may substitute for glass.
• Ability to measure accurately with tape measures and levels.
• Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment.
• No fear of heights on a ladder or lift.
• Proficiency navigating tablet-based technology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to safely transport service vehicles between job sites.
• Positive attitude and willingness to deliver top customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate measuring and provide accurate job estimates to customers seeking glass repair/replacement services
• Install glass, mirrors, door and window hardware for replacement and new installation jobs
• Help ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of supplies and tools in service vehicle
• Assist in selling flat glass products and services to customers using marketing collateral and upselling techniques
• Cut flat glass and mirrors according to specified dimensions and patterns.
• Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
• Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required
• Execute Service with Advanced Training (SWAT)
• Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

The Flat Glass Technician is a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation of residential and commercial flat glass and related glass products such as windows, storefronts, mirrors, display cases, shower doors, etc. You will assist in developing new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work. Benefits

• Competitive pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time schedule (35-40 hours per week) Monday to Friday
