Job summary

Peoria Unified School District is seeking a Stipend Coach for Flagline/Color Guard to work primarily at Centennial High School. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications like an Arizona Teaching Certificate or Coaching Certificate.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively, lead students in teambuilding activities, and attend mandatory meetings and training sessions. Additional requirements include obtaining an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and passing a background check. This role may require working outside typical hours and traveling for competitions.

Qualifications

• Completion of NFHS online 'Band Safety' course.
• Completion of NFHS online 'Concussion in Sports' course.
• Current Certification in CPR or NFHS online 'CPR and AED training'.
• Completion of NFHS online 'Heat Illness Prevention' course.
• Knowledge of ABODA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Attend mandatory school district meetings and trainings.
• Work outside normal hours as required.
• Travel for work functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Band Safety" course
• Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Concussion in Sports – What You Need to Know" course
• Current Certification in CPR or Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "CPR and AED training" course
• Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Heat Illness Prevention" course
• An Arizona Teaching Certificate, Arizona Coaching Certificate OR content area related degree
• Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules and safety concerns for the Performing Arts Activity to be coached
• Skill in communicating with all stakeholders
• In depth knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by ABODA (www. https://www.aboda.org/) and Peoria Unified School District #11 and to advise staff as needed of rules
• Attendance of mandatory school district meetings and aligned trainings

Other Requirements

• Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license as driving students to and from competitions may be required.
• May be required to work outside normal working hours
• May be required to travel to perform work functions
• Must establish a sense of comradery among our students through teambuilding, fundraising, service projects, etc.
