Job summary

CJ Hughes Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a reliable Flagging and Traffic Control Technician to assist with directing traffic around our construction sites.

The role requires experience in flagging and traffic control and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Responsibilities include directing traffic with hand signals, coordinating with teammates via two-way radios, and setting up signs, barricades, and cones.

Qualifications

• Must have flagging experience and be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean background.
• Willing to travel to multiple job sites and occasionally overnight.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic using hand signals and signs to ensure safety around construction zones.
• Coordinate with flaggers via two-way radios for alternating traffic.
• Inform crews of traffic issues affecting safety.
• Set up and remove warning/detour signs and barricades.
• Assist with sign placement and general traffic control tasks.
