Utility Lines Construction Services in Conway, AR is seeking a Flagger to help manage traffic around road worksites, position cones and barricades, and inform the crew of safety hazards. The role requires directing traffic with signals, working at multiple sites, and adhering to safety rules.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, and be willing to obtain a CDL within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and other certifications obtained during career.
  • Driver License Required; willing to obtain CDL within 90 days of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Controls movement of vehicular traffic through sites in which utility work is performed.
  • Directs movement of traffic through the site using approved traffic signals.
  • Moves from job site to job site as necessary.
  • Uses a stop and slow paddle and flag, each of which weighs approximately less than 1 pound.
  • Comply with all safety and health rules.
  • Reports all injuries no matter how minor to the Foreperson Immediately.
  • Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Performs all work from the ground.
  • Working hours are typically a 10-hour day.
  • Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
  • All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.

  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications
  • Driver License Required, willingness to obtain a valid CDL within 90 days of employment preferred.
Travel Requirements
  • Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

  • OCCASIONAL(up to 33%): Stooping, Kneeling, Squatting, Body Twisting, Sense of Touch, Range of Motion, Pushing, Climbing Ladders, Climbing Stairs, Balancing, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • FREQUENT(up to 66 %): Walking, Manual Dexterity, Seeing Distant, Climbing On/Off Truck, Gripping, Lifting Over 10 lbs. up to 50 lbs., Reaching, Depth Perception, Lifting, Carrying, and Pulling.
  • CONTINUOUS(up to 100%): Standing, Speaking Clearly, Seeing, Hearing-Speech Range, Color Vision, Lifting Up to 10 lbs.
