Job summary

PRIME Traffic Control is hiring for a MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) - FLAGGING role in Florida. The position emphasizes flagging traffic and supporting advanced MOT Foreman activities. Dependable, safety‑minded individuals are encouraged to apply, with growth potential within the company.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with overtime at $25.50 per hour. Per diem and a rotation of 10‑hour shifts are typical, and the company provides training and opportunities for advancement as you demonstrate

• Candidates must have a clean driving record for safety and efficiency.
• Must have reliable transportation to meet at job sites or ride with a foreman.

Responsibilities

• Flag traffic at worksites and manage vehicle/pedestrian flow.
• Assist MOT Foreman with setting up signage, cones, barriers, and arrow boards.
• Drive company truck to support Foreman and operations on site.
• Participate in training and advancement programs as offered by PRIME Traffic Control.

MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) - FLAGGING

Growing company, looking for dependable employee who is wanting a company home that allows for growth and security.

Work includes flagging traffic.

PAY:

Starting Hourly rate:

$17.00/hr (Straight Time - first 40 hrs/week) & $25.50/hr (Overtime - any hours over 40 hrs/week) - Typically work 5 ten hour days plus applicable drive time (any driving to/from the work location over 1hr each way).

Per diem paid at $25/night (for overnight stays only - if needed. - Company pays hotels directly . Try to keep staff in decent hotels (Hampton Inn/Residence in Type).

• Flagger / Foreman training program. This program is designed to enhance our team's skills in traffic management and site supervision. One of the key perks of this program is that participants will be guaranteed 10 hours of work for every day they work during the training.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid Florida driver's license.
• Candidates must have a clean driving record to qualify for this position. This requirement is crucial for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.
• Must have reliable mode of transportation (typically, our employees meet up either at the job site or catch a ride with a foreman driving a company truck).
• Must be willing and able to stand outside for long periods of time.
• Must be able to pick up close to 50 pounds safely.
• If interested, employees may be asked to travel for overnight stays within the State of Florida.
• Work to keep and maintain a good attitude of learning the work and supporting the team.
• PRIME Traffic Control is a drug free work place. Must be willing to submit and pass drug/alcohol testing/screenings.
• Must not have any felony convictions in the last 5 years.
• Must be willing and able to absorb and understand safety training and subsequent standards and follow them - keeping you, your team and the general public SAFE.

PREFERENCES:

• FDOT Certified Flagging Certification a plus.
• If no certification, employee would be expected to complete a 4-hour training course prior to starting work.

Our work includes setting up safe work zones to control vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
