POSITION SUMMARY: The Flagger directs traffic around construction sites and work zones, setting up and removing traffic control signs, cones, and barricades to ensure safety. The role involves using hand signals, signs, and other devices to communicate with motorists. Requires attention to detail, outdoor work in various weather, and standing for extended periods.

Essential Functions:

1. Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices.
2. Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
3. Communicate effectively with team via radios.
4. Stand, walk, and reach for up to 10 hours daily.
5. Lift and move items over 50 pounds.
6. Transport equipment using company vehicles.
7. Perform vehicle inspections.
8. Work outdoors, exposed to weather and moving equipment.
9. Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Pass drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Proper safety gear (boots, hard hat, glasses, vest).
• Operate 2-way radio.
• Work in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
• Complete ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training.
• Willingness to travel statewide, work nights and weekends, and be on-call.
