Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Field-based Flagger in Florence, AL to ensure safe traffic flow around active worksites. You’ll assist with traffic control, set up signs, cones and paddles, and perform construction tasks under supervision.

The role requires being 18+, work authorization in the U.S., a valid driver’s license, and a HS diploma or equivalent. Expect outdoor work in all weather with training and safety guidelines emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid State driver’s license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Control traffic in and around active worksites with hand signs and paddles
• Prepare flags, cones, signs and markers
• Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman or Supervisor as needed
• Drive safely and follow company safe driving policies
• Follow local, state and federal DOT guidelines
• Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote location, operate vehicle, squeeze, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift between 10 and 25 pounds, fine hand motion, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work with arms above shoulder level, climbs stairs, and lift between 26 and 55 pounds
