Responsibilities

• Receive and communicate specific instructions clearly and effectively
• Use signaling devices, including paddles and flags, to guide motorists through work zones
• Apply safe traffic control practices, including during stressful situations
• Warn workers of potentially dangerous traffic situations
• Place and maintain traffic control signage
• Assist with preparation, maintenance, and cleanup of work zones
• Work cooperatively with the crew and follow directions from supervisors
• Perform other duties as assigned
