Job summary

Haugland Group LLC in the U.S. Virgin Islands seeks a flagger to join our civil infrastructure and energy construction team.

You will direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic through work zones, set up traffic control devices, and coordinate with crew members to keep sites safe. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior construction or traffic control experience, and flagger certification or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior construction or traffic control experience preferred.
• Flagger certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of work zone safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic through and around construction, utility, and work zones.
• Uses signs, flags, paddles, and other traffic control devices to safely guide traffic.
• Communicate with crew members to coordinate traffic flow and ensure work zones safety.
• Monitor traffic conditions and report safety concerns, hazards, or incidents.
• Setup, maintain, and remove traffic control devices in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable traffic control regulations.
• Provide clear directions to motorists, pedestrians, and site visitors.
