Job summary

i9 Sports Chesterfield is seeking a part-time Sports Coordinator for flag football in Moseley, VA. You will support coach development, supervise game-day execution, and ensure a fun, safe, and educational environment for youth players.

You will empower volunteers, model good sportsmanship, and help run practices with focus on fundamentals while maintaining strong customer service and safety standards throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge.
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players.
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks).
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
• Supervise the overall operation of designated sport on game day
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
• Assist coaches and teams with practices and drills to enhance learning
• Referee games on small-sided fields to ensure player safety and enforcement of game rules for each sport
