Job description

Position Description: CAMPGROUND HOSTS: This is a seasonal employment opportunity. Campground Hosts are assigned to a campground area and are responsible for managing the campground, providing customer service to guests, and servicing and maintaining facilities and grounds.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Superior Customer Service Skills
• Ability to defuse/de-escalate tense situations; conflict resolution experience is helpful
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking long distances, navigating terrain with a blower, cleaning toilets, scooping ashes, picking litter, clipping vegetation, and dragging rakes
• Operate landscaping tools (shovel, rake, blower, clippers, mower)
• Cash handling skills, including giving change and bookkeeping
• Basic computer skills; credit card processing and reservation system experience preferred

THE DUTIES: Prepare facilities before guest arrival, including cleaning, landscaping, inspection, and maintenance. During visits, continue maintenance, collect fees, fulfill reservations, enforce rules, and sell items. After guest departure, clean and prepare site for next guest. Additional duties may be assigned.

NOTE: Some locations are at high elevations (6,000-10,000 ft). Check with a medical provider to ensure safety at these altitudes.

LOCATIONS:

• Salt Springs: Water, Sewer, Electricity; 163 sites with 3 restrooms; 200-day-use sites with 1 restroom

Anticipated weekly hours: 20-30; Employment period: January - December

Compensation: $14-16/hour
