Responsibilities*

Perform terminal cleaning of operating room suites. Operate mechanical cleaning and scrubbing equipment, strip and refinish floor surfaces, collect and transport waste materials/soiled linen to central location, wash walls and ceilings, clean restrooms and operate vacuum cleaning equipment. Be able to perform all cleaning duties that relate to the Environmental Services Department.

Required Qualifications*

High School Diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to read and write. Must have no lifting restrictions. Must demonstrate strong customer service skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Work Schedule

This position 40 hours / Monday-Friday / 9:00PM - 5:30 AM

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the AFSCME union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
