Responsibilities

• Insure accurate locations of all casting details to customer specification.
• Insure location of casting spot face locations.
• Follow work instructions set out by Engineering/Quality.
• Straighten and check castings to meet fixture tolerances per the work instructions.
• Check that paperwork matches casting (Nine Basics).
• Prep casting for weld plug and weld plates.
• Prep castings for test bar processing and tool sharpening.
• Set up target guns and drill holes for salt fog coupons.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Must have good vision/sight (must meet industry standards), depth perception, hearing, and hand-eye coordination, and dexterity. Reading, writing, above average math aptitude is necessary. Must be team-oriented, problem-solver, and self-motivated . Must be able to follow written work instructions. Must be able to multitask and meet production goals and deadlines. Must be team-oriented and have good communication skills. Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength on a regular basis. Must be able to generate 15lbs of pinch strength on occasion. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical. Must be able to perform elevated work on an occasional basis. Some tasks require repetitive activities. Must be able to stand on concrete up to 8 hours. Must be willing to cross-train within the classification. Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required personal protective equipment. Must be willing to work any shift. Must pass (80% or above) a preliminary aptitude test given at interview.
