Job summary

Solidus Resources in the United States seeks a Fixed Plant Superintendent to lead maintenance for a new crushing, conveying and ADR processing operation and heap leach facilities. Qualifications

• 10+ years of maintenance experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environments.
• 5+ years in maintenance leadership.
• Experience maintaining crushing, conveying, and fixed plant equipment.
• Experience supporting ADR processing plants, heap leach operations, or gold recovery processes is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
• Greenfield or commissioning experience preferred.
• Mechanical trade certification, technical diploma, or related degree is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities across crushing, conveying, ADR plant, and heap leach facilities to maximize equipment reliability.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Support commissioning, startup, and maintenance readiness for the new facility.
• Oversee maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, pumps, piping, hydraulic and lubrication systems, electrical and instrumentation systems, leach solution distribution, carbon handling, elution circuits, electrowinning, reagent systems, and related infrastructure.
• Implement condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing maintenance team while managing contractors and external service providers.
• Establish maintenance procedures, SOPs, asset registers, and CMMS standards.
• Plan maintenance resources, spare parts, tooling, and contractor support.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, backlog, and costs.
• Partner with operations, engineering, metallurgy, and project teams to improve plant reliability and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview:

The Fixed Plant Superintendent is responsible for establishing and leading maintenance activities for a new crushing, conveying, and gold processing operation. This role will build maintenance systems, recruit and develop the maintenance team, implement reliability-centered maintenance practices, and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the fixed plant, ADR (Adsorption, Desorption, Recovery) process plant, and associated heap leach facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in commissioning, startup, and the long-term reliability of critical processing infrastructure.
