Job Description
Position Summary
Guggenheim Securities is seeking a motivated Analyst to join our Fixed Income Sales and Trading desk in Chicago. This candidate requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and strong financial market acumen. Responsibilities include supporting sales teams with operational, settlement, and clerical duties, and collaborating with trading, syndicate, and operations groups to handle internal and external requests.
Essential Job Functions
- Work directly with multiple sales teams, handling internal/administrative tasks.
- Assist senior sales professionals in managing client relationships, preparing trade ideas, and responding to inquiries. Provide market updates, trade execution, and settlement information.
- Stay informed on macroeconomic trends, interest rate movements, credit spreads, and other market factors.
- Prepare daily market summaries and client materials to support sales efforts.
- Identify and implement process improvements in trade execution, settlement, and client service.
- Maintain and enhance databases and automated tools for tracking transaction data and investor feedback.
- Interact daily with institutional fixed income investors and credit analysts.
- Collaborate with traders on trade ideas, negotiations, and execution.
- Assist in preparing marketing and outreach strategies.
- Handle incoming communications and route appropriately.

- Good judgment and integrity.
- Understanding of securitized fixed income products (e.g., ABS, MBS, CLOs) and broader financial markets.
- Strong organizational skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
- 0-2 years of capital markets experience.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 certifications within 150 days of employment.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, Excel, and other financial tools.
- Knowledge of fixed income products.
Work Location
- Expected to work in Chicago office at least 4 days per week.
- Travel for clients and conferences may be required.
Salary
- Annual base salary between $90,000 and $110,000, depending on experience and location.
- Additional compensation may include incentives.
