Job summary

Fisher Investments is seeking a passionate fixed income professional to play a critical role in the investment decision making process. As a Research Analyst covering Fixed Income, you will support the Investment Policy Committee by ensuring our bond strategies reflect macro forecasts and themes, and you will communicate insights to internal clients and the firm's largest clients.

In this hands-on role, you will examine holdings, generate investment ideas, and help develop portfolio themes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience evaluating different types of bonds (Corporate, Municipal, Asset-backed and Sovereign).
• Experience supporting client service and sales efforts.
• Ability to express probability concisely from multiple possibilities.
• Experience testing and improving current processes.
• Experience interpreting current events into tangible recommendations.
• Experience with data to find fact-based insights.

Responsibilities

• Examine current and potential holdings and identify bonds likely to outperform benchmarks.
• Support the Investment Policy Committee through performance commentary and idea generation.
• Understand how market events affect forward relative returns and develop portfolio themes.
• Develop knowledge of Fisher Investments' investment philosophy and processes.

We are seeking a passionate fixed income professional interested in playing a critical role in the investment decision making process. The ideal candidate is highly engaged, and eager to contribute beyond their seat - collaborating with peers to generate investment ideas and expand the fixed income platform.

The Opportunity:

As a Research Analyst covering Fixed Income at Fisher Investments, you will support the Investment Policy Committee by ensuring our bond strategies represent our macro investment forecasts and themes. Your understanding of bond markets and enthusiasm for development will propel you in this position and open opportunities for advancement. In this highly impactful role, you will communicate your expertise and insights to internal clients and to the firm's largest, most sophisticated clients and prospects, via client meetings and written/visual deliverables.

The Day-to-Day:

• Examine current and potential holdings and identify bonds likely to outperform selected benchmarks, incorporating our top-down macroeconomic views
• Support our Investment Policy Committee through performance commentary, by generating investment ideas, and reviewing existing trends and reports on bond holdings
• Use knowledge of bond categories to understand how market events impact forward relative returns and develop our portfolio themes and views
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our investment philosophy, process, portfolio themes and rationales
• Suggest and implement output, process and system upgrades to enhance team productivity and influence

Your Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience evaluating different types of bonds (Corporate, Municipal, Asset-backed and Sovereign)
