Job summary

American Century Investments is seeking a Risk Analyst in Global Fixed Income to help identify, measure, monitor, and report risks across fixed income portfolios. You will work with portfolio managers, analysts, and risk team members to evaluate exposures and contribute to risk oversight.

Based in our Santa Clara, CA office in a hybrid role, the position requires strong analytical abilities and communication skills, with 2–5 years of experience in investment risk management or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in investment risk management, portfolio analytics, fixed income research, or a related financial services role.
• Understanding of fixed income markets, instruments, and risk concepts.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency with Excel and risk analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support monitoring of fixed income portfolios to ensure risk limits are followed.
• Analyze exposures related to credit, interest rate, liquidity, and market risk.
• Conduct risk analyses and report findings to senior risk managers.
• Assist in development of risk metrics and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to provide risk insights.
• Help ensure adherence to risk policies and regulatory requirements.
