Job summary

Thrivent invites applications for a Fixed Income Research Intern to support research and analysis across public investment grade and high yield. The role involves daily interactions with portfolio managers and senior analysts, offering a pathway into fixed income careers for a graduate student.

The internship expects strong analytical and communication skills, with a summer schedule May–August and relocation assistance as part of Thrivent’s program to build a talent pipeline for the organization.

Qualifications

• Completed first year of graduate program with a demonstrated history of strong academic performance.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel.
• Experience with investment tools such as Aladdin and/or Bloomberg is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support for analyzing and underwriting bond investments.
• Monitoring credit risk and performance of existing investment holdings.
• Perform independent research on industries and sectors within fixed income market.
• Participate and contribute to all aspects of the investment process including meetings with issuers and management.
