Job summary

RBC in Minneapolis is seeking a Fixed Income Business Development professional to market fixed income securities to Financial Advisors, craft trade ideas, and educate the sales force on current market trends and product strategies. You will visit branches in person and virtually, deliver presentations, and collaborate with trading desks to deliver a cohesive fixed income message.

A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in financial services are required; FINRA licenses or a plan to obtain them within 3

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in financial services.
Strong ability to persuade, motivate and market product through e-mail, voice, and in-person.
Robust organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task and work independently in a dynamic client-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Idea generation: Produce taxable and tax-exempt trade ideas, bond ladders, and swap opportunities and communicate them to FAs.
Training and Education: Visit branch offices in-person and virtually to educate FAs on fixed income products and capabilities.
Collaboration: Work with trading desks and Fixed Income Strategies to deliver a cohesive message to FAs.
