Job summary

LHH is seeking a Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting Specialist based in Houston, Texas, to enhance its corporate accounting function. This position is critical for ensuring accuracy in fixed asset and lease accounting while engaging in month-end close and audit support activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of ASC standards. The role also demands advanced Excel skills and process improvement capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or public company close.
• Strong understanding of lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed assets (ASC 360).
• Experience with internal controls and SOX 404 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger activity and prepare journal entries.
• Review and approve coding for purchase requisitions.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
