Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets or inventory management preferred.Will train this individual in areas where experience is limited.

The opportunity: We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, valuation, reporting, reconciliation, depreciation, and disposal. This role requires a blend of cost accounting skills, strong analytical capabilities, and familiarity with various accounting systems and tools. Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the Fixed Asset Process: Will assist in managing the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Inventory Management (Nice to have): Utilize prior experience in inventory management to support and streamline inventory-related processes.
  • Cost Accounting and Analysis: Perform cost accounting tasks, including analysis and reporting to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Sales and Use Tax Compliance (Nice to have): Handle sales and use tax, and manage personal property tax responsibilities.
  • Month-End Close Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes related to fixed assets and inventory, including Fixed Assets roll forward
  • Controls Compliance: Assist with maintaining and enforcing internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile fixed asset and inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Depreciation Projects: Support projects related to depreciation methods and adjustments.
  • Process Automation: Contribute to the automation of fixed asset and inventory processes to improve efficiency.
  • Integration Support: Assist with the integration of Salesforce and NetSuite systems.
  • PO Process Management: Roll out and assist with the purchase order (PO) part of the fixed asset process.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and compliance of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets or inventory management preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • NetSuite Experience: Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Salesforce Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Query, and other financial software tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
