Job summary

Sleep Inn & Suites - Devils Lake seeks a courteous maintenance engineer to oversee the property's upkeep, ensure safety, and deliver a five-star guest experience. You will perform routine maintenance and respond to issues to keep the facility fully functional and welcoming.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to use facilities management software. Certification as a Certified Pool Operator is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, drywall, plumbing, flooring and HVAC is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-4 years of maintenance experience is required.
• Must have, or be willing to get certified as a Certified Pool Operator
• Ability to use web-based facilities maintenance software
• This position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance issues as quickly as possible to assure guest satisfaction
• Respond to emergencies that occur outside of regular working hours
• Use a wide range of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, edge finders, drills, wrenches, and additional equipment
• Assist other technicians and engineers with a variety of maintenance tasks in a collaborative manner
• Create an available channel of communication between you and other staff, including managers and department heads
