Job summary

Interactive Brokers Group is seeking an AML Investigator for the FIU in a hybrid role. You will review alerts, investigate account activity, file SARs, and monitor emerging money laundering typologies, partnering with compliance and regulators.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in AML investigations, a college degree, and strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills to support audits and regulatory exams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of AML investigations or related financial crime roles.
  • College degree preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
  • ACAMS, CFE, CFCS, Series 7, or FINRA licenses are a plus.

This is Hybrid role (4 days in office /1 day remote)

The AML Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is a core part of IBKR's Compliance AML Program, serving as the firm's frontline defense against money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. Our team reviews system-generated alerts, investigates suspicious account activity, and files Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with regulators such as FinCEN and the NCA when warranted, while also tracking emerging money laundering typologies, maintaining rigorous case documentation for audits and regulatory exams, and liaising with law enforcement and regulatory bodies. Working closely with the broader Compliance function, we help safeguard IBKR's integrity and reputation while ensuring the firm meets its regulatory obligations across global markets.

Qualifications

  • High level of technical proficiency and understanding of how technology supports business and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting investigative narratives or similar reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • ACAMS, CFE, CFCS, Series 7, or other relevant certifications or FINRA licenses are a plus.
