We are seeking an experienced Fitting & Welding Foreman to lead second-shift operations in a structural steel fabrication shop. This is a hands‑on supervisory position responsible for coordinating personnel, production activities, materials, equipment, quality, and schedules.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and provide direction to welders, fitters, and other shop personnel
• Oversee daily fabrication and production activities during 2nd Shift
• Assign work and balance workloads based on production requirements
• Monitor production and fabrication schedules and make adjustments when needed
• Coordinate deliveries and help keep projects on schedule
• Establish and communicate standard fabrication procedures
• Monitor workmanship and enforce quality‑control requirements
• Identify ways to improve productivity, efficiency, employee performance, and finished‑product quality
• Coordinate with other departments and fabrication locations regarding production status, quality, materials, and delivery requirements
• Maintain shop equipment, tools, and facilities as needed
• Monitor inventory and coordinate material requirements with the First Shift Foreman, Operations Management, and Purchasing
• Work with vendors and suppliers as necessary
• Determine staffing and work hours needed to support delivery schedules
• Keep management informed of workload, production concerns, and operational needs
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and workplace standards
• Make operational decisions that support production and company objectives
