Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is seeking a part-time associate to deliver world class customer service in a sporting goods environment. You will assist customers, manage fitting rooms, and support store operations, including calls and desk duties.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, teamwork, and a flexible schedule with hours between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., including weekends and holidays. Training and benefits are provided by Scheels.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assures customers are receiving world class customer service and attention in the fitting rooms.
• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional and pleasant disposition.
• Be knowledgeable and courteous while assisting customers and transferring calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance.
• Assist in general office duties including mail, sorting and delivering to departments.
• Create daily pocket schedules and signage for all shops.
• Assist leaders on various projects and product knowledge development.

Compensation: $18.00/hour

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities:

Assures customers are receiving world class customer service and attention in the fitting rooms

Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional and pleasant disposition

Be knowledgeable and courteous while assisting customers and transferring calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance

Assist in general office duties that include mail service, sorting and opening mail to deliver to appropriate individuals/departments, and assisting other office positions as needed

Create daily pocket schedules, make signs for all shops

Assist in various projects for members of the Leadership team as needed

Development of product knowledge and partners with sales associates to help achieve daily selling goals

Focuses on fashion trends

Checks customers in and out of rooms, while monitoring amount of merchandise the customer has in the fitting room

Prepares merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor

Be knowledgeable to answer question converting location, price and use of merchandise

Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth

Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solving skills

Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to complete basic mathematical equations

Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefits

Schedule: Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Average hours per week is 20 hours.

Education & Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
