Engineered Steel Products (ESP) in Sophia, NC seeks a skilled Structural Welder/Fitter to join our fabrication team. The role requires precise fitting, alignment, and welding of heavy structural steel components according to blueprints and symbols.

Responsibilities include FCAW and MIG welding, inspecting joints for quality and safety compliance, and maintaining strict PPE and site protocols on a construction site or shop floor.

Formación

• 3+ years of proven experience as a structural welder or fitter in a construction or fabrication environment.
• Experience with heavy structural steel required.
• Experience with FCAW welding preferred; MIG or Stick acceptable.

• Perform FCAW and MIG welding to join steel parts according to industry standards.
• Inspect welded joints and structural assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations.

Understand basic blueprints and welding symbols

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as a structural steel welder or fitter in a construction or fabrication environment.
• Experience working with heavy structural steel
• Experience with FCAW Welding preferred but MIG or Stick experience is acceptable
• Commitment to safe work

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
• Lift and carry materials or tools weighing up to 50+ pounds
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots as required.
