Salary: $25.00+ per hour

Position: Experienced Welder & Fabricator

GS Steel, based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is seeking an experienced metal welder & fabricator to join our team. This is a full-time position with exceptional benefits. Essential Duties:

1. Read blueprints and drawings, and take or read measurements to layout.
2. Follow all company safety guidelines.
3. Operate grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and other welding-related tools, as well as cranes, forklifts, and various shop tools and equipment.
4. Fabricate, weld, grind, and burn a variety of metals.
5. Maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness daily.
6. Set up components for welding based on specified requirements.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience or more.
• Strong fabrication background.
• Excellent welding skills, with proficiency in MIG welding and some TIG experience.
• Experience with heavy plate fabrication.
• Proficient in Carbon Arc/Air Arc gouging.
• Ability to accurately read tape measures and calculate angles.
• Willingness and ability to work at least 40 hours per week; overtime available.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong initiative.
• Positive communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Awareness of safety when working around moving machinery.
• Ability to work in environments with dust, fumes, and gases.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
