Fitter/Welder - 1st shift (Manufacturing)

Responsibilities include:

  1. Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations to produce products according to blueprints, customer drawings, and specifications.
  2. Use AWS D1.1 and D1.2 approved welding techniques to weld aluminum and steel components.
  3. Read and interpret detailed structural and pipe drawings, fitting components to dimensions.
  4. Process inspection, certification, and documentation for assigned jobs.
  5. Finish grinding using manual and power tools as required.
  6. Utilize fitting tools such as tape measures, squares, angles, and protractors.
  7. Set up and understand weld/machine parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
  8. Follow all safety regulations and maintain safe work habits.
  9. Perform work adhering to Lean Manufacturing principles.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards.
  11. Ensure quality standards are met and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  13. Must be able to fit components accurately.
