Job summary

Doing Steel Fabrication, LLC is hiring for a welding/fitting role in Missouri. You will work on fabrication tasks with a focus on welding, fitting, and basic machine operation in a 50-hour workweek.

The company offers weekly pay and a strong benefits package including a 401K match. Expect routine use of tape measures, grinding, painting for identification, and safe, team-based loading/unloading with supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with trucks under three tons and with mobile crane equipment.
• 2 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Welding Certificate and 2 years MIG welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tape measure.
• Demonstrate basic mathematical understanding for measurements.
• Clean up material by grinding or chipping.
• Spot paint for identification marks.
• Operate hand tools as required.
• Operate machine tools.
• Perform welding tasks.
• Fit components to specifications.

Job Description & Duties

• MATHEMATICAL UNDERSTANDING
• CLEANS UP MATERIAL BY GRINDING OR CHIPPING.

Essential Functions

• Maintains a clean work environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure efficient, safe loading and unloading operations.
• Ensure safe, timely loading and unloading processes.
• Able to stand and work on concrete floor for 10-hour shifts
• Ability to see, hear, and interact verbally with co-workers
• Ability to use computer screen to enter time and job data using fingers
• Ability to reach, bend, and lean to access materials being welded and fitted.
• Ability to lift 25lbs routinely
  
  

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Experience with trucks under three tons (i.e. tractors and fork-trucks), mobile crane equipment and overhead cranes.
• 2 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Welding Certificate
• 2 years MIG welding experience preferred

• 10-hour shift
• Day shift or 2nd shift
• Monday to Friday
  
  

Work Environment

Exposure to dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Additional requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. When there is an occasion to move heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another team member or utilize provided lifting equipment.
