Introduction

Coperion is seeking a Fitter Welder to join our team in Sabetha, KS.

The Fitter / Welder is responsible for constructing and assembling mechanical systems.

Work You’ll Do:

1. Construct structural components based on blueprints.
2. Fit structural components together to create finished systems.
3. Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, pressure vessels, and building and bridge parts, following blueprints and applying knowledge of fitting, welding, and metallurgy.
4. Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, utilizing knowledge of geometry, metal properties, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Mechanically inclined
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Robotics or Cobot Arms is highly preferred
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
• Welding experience
• Dependable and reliable
