Job Summary

The role involves developing project bids, fabricating drawings, fabricating steel according to drawings, and erecting steel on the project site.

Pay Range

$26 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Layout beams, columns, and other components as per fabrication drawings to prepare for welding.
2. Weld using MIG and SMAW processes.
3. Perform metal drilling, grinding, sawing, punching, shearing, etc., as required.
4. Prepare materials for proper welding.
5. Produce work that meets industry quality standards.
6. Read and understand fabrication drawings to apply proper welds.
7. Set up welding machines with correct amperage, voltage, and wire speed.
8. Maintain a clean work area free of trash and debris.
9. Keep equipment clean, perform minor maintenance, and ensure readiness for use.
10. Operate a forklift safely to move and position materials.
11. Report equipment issues to the supervisor.
12. Unload delivery trucks as needed.
13. Perform any other assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Pass a welding certification test.
2. Understand verbal and written instructions.
3. Work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
5. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
6. Read a tape measure accurately.
7. Possess advanced mathematical skills.
8. Understand and pass safety training.
9. Pass a forklift driver certification test.
10. Work safely and constructively with team members.
11. Comply with all company rules and safety policies.
